Life’s Big Moments: Baby Shower Invitations
Nothing shows special thought to parents-to-be like a personalized shower invitation! The image at right shows four different versions of a jungle themed invite – to match the baby’s nursery décor. The invitation at left was designed to be modern and fun, while still gender-neutral, as the parents did not yet know if they were expecting a boy or girl.
Life’s Big Moments: Birthday Party Invitations
Forget generic invites – create a custom invitation as unique and fun as the guest of honor! This client was celebrating a friend’s birthday that happened to fall on 09/09/2009. Naturally, the number “9” was the theme of this invite, shown in drafts at left, and in its final version at right.
Personalized: Blog Banners
Ideal for personal or professional blogs, a custom banner is the perfect way to give your webpage a polished look and feel. Request colors, ideas for artwork, and provide your blog’s title and the service you use (Typepad, Blogger, etc). In this case, the client’s blog is centered on cooking and recipes. In the end, she chose two designs to alternate between.
Business: Special Events Materials
The client needed a design for a very high volume corporate party invitation. Due to the very large number of recipients, the invitation was designed with a perforated RSVP section that could be easily mailed back and counted by the company. The desire was a clean and chic design, while still appearing traditional. The snowflakes and fonts shown in grey here were printed in a silver foil to give the invitation a little extra glitz.
Business: Logo Design & Promotional Materials
The client, a group of five local artisans, holds bi-annual trunk shows at which a large purple door (embellished by the five women) is on display. The door was a key piece to the design of the logo, and the vase and flowers is an actual item created by one of the group’s members. At right is the final business card created for each artist. A double-sided postcard to promote a sale is shown at left. Two of the alternate designs (coffee cups were an initial request) are shown here.
Life’s Big Moments: Engagement Party Invitations
The client knew she wanted to use black and white, and either an accent of purple or green – the bride’s favorite colors. She had seen some designs online that she liked but wanted something original and customized. The designs at left were some of the alternate choices presented. At right is the final version – a 1/4 page flat invite printed on heavy cardstock.
Business: Logo & Business Card Design
This playful business name needed a logo design to clarify the nature of its industry! The tagline (brainstormed by the client!) was typeset in a retro “slogan” type of font to balance out the bold and angular font of the business name. The business eventually added an auto repair branch of business, which was incorporated into the logo for their most recent project: new business cards.
Business: Website and Special Event Materials
This client was in the process of building a website and wanted a header that incorporated his company logo and an additional automotive element to represent his business’ industry. The gift tag incorporated the original logo with a festive twist, and was tied around bottles of wine for top clients’ holiday gifts.
Life’s Big Moments: Save the Date Postcards
The photo postcard reflects the client’s wedding colors of black, white, and pistachio green, and incorporates a favorite engagement photo. The floral design was inspired by the bride’s love of bright blue (and bright blue bridesmaid dresses!) and her desire for “wildflower” design elements.
Business: Logo & Business Card Design
The client had a current logo on which he wanted to put a fresh and modern spin. The logo was redesigned and the business card was formatted to include a screened photo of the facility. Later projects with this client included customized email headers for promotional email campaigns.
